CARE INSTRUCTIONS

RATTAN

• Clean when required with your vacuum’s brush to remove dust.
• To remove any built-up dirt use a soft, damp cloth and wipe frame,
• If any solids have dried onto the rattan, use a toothbrush or soft brush to help loosen them, then once clean allow the area to air-dry.
• Dry the rattan well and take care not to soak the pieces in water. If it does become oversaturated, dry outdoors in direct sun if possible. The rattan will generally return to its original shape so take care not to bend it while wet.
• Just like fabric and other wood furniture, rattan can get mouldy. Despite living in a warm climate, your rattan furniture can still become exposed to moisture in the air due to humidity.
• Treat any mildew immediately. If any mildew or mould develops use a solution of warm water and soap to clean the affected area. Dry immediately after in direct sunlight.
• Keep furniture away from areas of severe heat as this can warp or dry out the furniture.

SWING HANGING INSTRUCTIONS

Our rattan swings are made from natural rattan therefore hanging indoor or under sheltered areas is recommended. They need to be kept away from rain. Please hang rope from around the main front frame only, not any of the bars that go around the back or smaller pieces of rattan. Our rope swings are made with outdoor rope and fabric which is water resistant, UV resistant and weatherproof. This means you can hang your swing under sheltered or unsheltered areas. Professional installation by a qualified builder/tradesman is recommended to make sure your chair is hung correctly from a suitable sized beam or area of your choice. Rope and ceiling fixtures not included. Your builder will suggest a suitable ceiling hook, however we have used on many occasions a large eye screw with D-Shackle or carabiner attached to this. You can choose any knot you wish. As a suggestion, the hangman knot or improved clinch knot look great.
