CARE INSTRUCTIONS
RATTAN
- Clean when required with your vacuum’s brush to remove dust.
- To remove any built-up dirt use a soft, damp cloth and wipe frame,
- If any solids have dried onto the rattan, use a toothbrush or soft brush to help loosen them, then once clean allow the area to air-dry.
- Dry the rattan well and take care not to soak the pieces in water. If it does become oversaturated, dry outdoors in direct sun if possible. The rattan will generally return to its original shape so take care not to bend it while wet.
- Just like fabric and other wood furniture, rattan can get mouldy. Despite living in a warm climate, your rattan furniture can still become exposed to moisture in the air due to humidity.
- Treat any mildew immediately. If any mildew or mould develops use a solution of warm water and soap to clean the affected area. Dry immediately after in direct sunlight.
- Keep furniture away from areas of severe heat as this can warp or dry out the furniture.
